WHAT WAS INTERESTING ABOUT THIS CONCERT?

• Women in Music featured both classical masterpieces and contemporary works, either composed by women or performed by our four guest soloists.

• This concert highlighted a unique blend of instruments, ranging from the organ to accordion! Chinese health balls (aka: Baoding balls) were also used in Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral  to create an ethereal sound.

• If you saw the 1995 cult-classic Babe, you would have recognized our grand finale, the Saint-Saëns "Organ Symphony"!
